Rockies hold on against Padres DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies tore into Edinson Volquez once again on Friday night, driving the San Diego Padres starter from the game in the third inning and building a six-run lead. It was barely enough as the Rockies eked out a 10-9 victory when rookie Nolan Arenado led off the ninth with a home run against Joe Thatcher. It was the Rockies' first walk-off home run this season and Arenado's fifth homer of the year.
